Kuwaiti wild life is very exotic. Due to the low annual rainfall, scorching hot sands and barely any surface water- like ponds, lakes and streams- the animal life is very scarce. the only speices that will survive the year have to adapt conciderably to the hot weather. Desert mammals such as Red fox, jerboa's, gerbils, and hedgehogs are extreemly common as they are well adapted. Kuwait has also recorded 30 species of desert mammals and approximately 300 species of birds. Also approximately 30 species of reptiles, and 13 species of invertebrates have been recorded to be living on the harsh landscapes. Just remember, though some animals are really, really cute; Others want to kill you!
Endangered Dugongs
Kuwait has some of the worlds most exotic and endangered speices of mammals including the dugong. these whale like creatures are split into four speices; all of which are endangered and at high risk of being extinct.
